Ding Junhui is the defending champion of snooker's Masters title
This weekend (21 & 22 January) heralds the climax of snooker's Masters tournament, and another busy programme of football matches.
Ding Junhui is the defending champion of the Masters title having beaten Marco Fu 10-4 in a historic all-Asian final last year.
All the big stories are on the BBC News channel. Its main sports bulletin, Sportsday, goes out between 1830-1900 and 1930-2000 on Saturday and at 1745, 1845 and 1945 on Sunday.
